Temporary abolition of a monument. A manifesto for an open city and an agonistic public space.
We defend the public space as a space of life, instead of a space of mere representation. For this reason, we deside to cover the fountain of the Three Graces, temporarily occupying the center of Plaça Reaial with a structure that encourages free appropriation by any citizen who wants to speak. 'Occupying the center with the word' has an infrastructural as well as a symbolic sense—it is a spatial system that triggers debate by temporarily transforming the urban sphere and, at the same time, it is a manifesto for an open city and an agonistic public space.
